Day 31: All in to Win the Youth
A LoveSingapore 40.Day prayer devotional

Bible reading for 40.Day 2025 | Jeremiah 1:7
One of the things I’m passionate about is youth revivals. I grew up in one. Now, my heart is to continue building youth revivals for the next generation.
In these 40 days of prayer, I want to encourage everyone: Let’s be All In to win the youths.
Leaders today, not just tomorrow’s future
We often hear people talking about the next generation: How do we reach Gen Z and Gen Alpha for Jesus?
Before the “how”, we need to know the “why”. Why do we want to reach the next generation?
One reason is because youths are leaders today, not just tomorrow.
People often say, “Youths are the future” and “Youths are the leaders of tomorrow.” That is completely true, but I believe that is still not the full picture.
Because our young people are not only the future – youths are leaders today. That’s why we want to reach them now and not wait till they are older.
In our churches today, would we let the 13- to 16-year-olds lead and serve God?
They are looking for a purpose. What better purpose than the cause of Christ?
Let the youths lead today! Let them build the Church.
Let them be photographers. Let them handle the media. Let them operate the sound and light equipment. Let them be ushers. Let them lead connect groups. Let the youths “do” church!
Young people are idealistic. They want to make a difference. They are looking for a purpose. What better purpose than the cause of Christ?
Today, I also want to speak to all the young people. If you are a youth or a student, I want you to know this: You can be a leader today, not only tomorrow. You can rise up to reach your generation for Jesus. You can be used by God!
Like the Bible says in Jeremiah 1:7 – “Do not say ‘I am too young.’” Young people, do not look down on your youth. Today, do not tell yourself that you are too young.
A dream, a revival
Perhaps God has been speaking to you in your heart. He has placed a dream inside of you. He wants you to bring a revival.
Maybe you have thoughts like, “It can’t be me. God must be speaking to the person on my left or right, not me. How can God use me? I’m young. I’m nobody. No qualifications.”
Maybe some of you are thinking, “God, perhaps later on. I am too busy right now. I have school, exams, and commitments. I have no time. Maybe I will serve You later when I am older.”
If you know me, I absolutely love young people. My husband and I have worked with youths for nearly 20 years.
Don’t discount yourself. You are the best person to bring a youth revival.
We always ask the young people in our church: Who is the best person to win youths? Well, it is you, not me! You are the best person to reach your friends for Jesus. You understand what they are going through. You are with them all the time in school, at the basketball court, at the malls… You practically live your lives with them! In fact, you might know your friends better than I do.
So who is the best person to bring a youth revival? It is you! Not me.
That is why your church and your pastors need you.
If you are a youth, I want to challenge you to rise up. Do not say that you are too young. Don’t wait till you are older. Rise up for God today! Your generation needs you to bring a youth revival.
If you are older like me, let’s go All In to win the youths for Jesus!
Whether you are a Pastor, leader, or anyone in the church, we can do this together, whatever church or denomination that you are from. It’s about letting the young people lead.
Look at the young people in your church. Start to believe that they are leaders today. Start to believe that they can serve in the ministry. God can use them.
Let us pray:
Father, today, we want to pray for all the pastors, leaders and everyone in the church. As we reach the youths, the next generation, give us the wisdom to win them over and nurture them. Align our hearts to see them the way You see them, to love them the way You love them. Use us to win the next generation for You.
We want to pray for the young people, that they are able to hear Your individual call over their lives, that they are able to see themselves the way You see them, and the plans You have for their lives. They are not too young to bring a youth revival. You are calling them today. We believe that You can use them to bring a youth revival.
In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
Reflect:
1. For the young people: How can I rise up for God today?
2. For older people: How can I let the youths lead in my church?
3. For older people: In which areas of my church can I practically empower young people?
Pray:
1. For all the churches, Pastors and leaders that God will give us wisdom to win over and nurture the young people, to see them as He sees them, to love them as He loves them.
2. For the young people, that they will hear His call over their lives and have the courage and faith to rise up and be a leader today.
