About the speaker

Datuk Dr Edward Ong is a builder and award-winning property developer with a portfolio that spans Singapore, Malaysia and beyond.

By the age of 40, he had completed landmark projects including Singapore General Hospital, three MRT stations and Regency Park Condominium through his OCK Group. He later pioneered the iconic Sutera Harbour Resort in Sabah and now leads the Pelican Paradise Township in Timor-Leste, a transformative project set to create over 14,000 local jobs.

Known not just for his achievements but also for the values that guide him, Datuk Ong’s life took a dramatic turn after a personal encounter in 1988. Since then, he has consistently chosen to lead with conviction, integrity and courage, even when it defies industry norms. His journey invites others to reflect on what it means to live with purpose in an increasingly complex world.
